PHILOSOPHY
Trust is the most important element in the development of a good working relationship
with a professional. This key ingredient involves knowing that your therapist believes that
even though difficulties exist, each person possesses emotional and spiritual strengths
as well as the capacity to change. Listening and understanding are also a part of trust,
with the goal of developing insight into the current problems. It is important to honor one's
thoughts and feelings; in fact, this is the first part of the change process. A final part of
trust involves collaboration, wherein the individual and therapist discuss goals and plan
the work to be undertaken in counseling.
Please call 402 334-1122 to schedule an appointment. If you wish to first discuss a
potential working relationship, call me and I will promptly get back to you.
