Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
I work with couples and individuals who struggle with a multitude of issues. Whether you’re experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, symptoms of past/present trauma, problems with addiction, life transitions, communication breakdowns, disconnection from self and others, or simply can’t find the words to explain how you feel, I am here to help.
Too many of us suffer in silence when what we really need is human connection. Using a variety of treatment techniques including mindfulness and other evidence-based practices, I offer a collaborative therapeutic approach with the belief that my job is to help you feel safe, seen, heard, acknowledged, and validated.
I have experience working in both Outpatient and Inpatient Substance Use; Outpatient and Inpatient Mental Health facilities; Nebraska State Correctional facilities; and with a wide variety of clientele to include college students, the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC, and couples in varying stages of their relationships. I am also in the process of becoming a trained Gottman Couples Therapist.
Starting therapy can be overwhelming and you may be on the fence about it; these are completely normal feelings and I am here to help make that process easier.
Julie will begin serving clients at ACP about September 1, 2021
