About Emily Lichter

Growing up is hard, and being a young person today comes with a unique set of pressures. As

a licensed clinical social worker specializing in children, teens, and young adults, my goal is

simple: to be a steady, supportive ally during some of life's most transformative (and sometimes

turbulent) years.

My practice is built on empathy, authenticity, and a little bit of humor. I meet my clients exactly

where they are and take pride in building genuine connections. I recognize that a "one-size-fits-

all" approach doesn't always work for young minds, so I blend traditional talk therapy with strengths-

based and creative interventions to keep clients engaged and empowered. To best support

each unique individual, I regularly utilize:

       ● Humanistic Therapy: To ensure our space is collaborative, non-judgmental, and client-

           centered.

       ● CBT & DBT Skills: To provide concrete tools for navigating anxiety, managing intense

emotions, and shifting unhelpful thought patterns.

       ● Solution-Focused Therapy: To help clients identify concrete goals and build on their

          existing strengths.

I frequently work with individuals facing anxiety, self-esteem hurdles, family changes, and the

day-to-day stress of navigating school and social landscapes. I am also deeply committed to

providing safe, compassionate support for young people facing severe distress, depression, and

suicidal ideation.

Therapy with me isn't about being "fixed", rather it’s about understanding yourself better,

learning how to handle tough emotions, and building a toolkit for the future. Let’s work together

to help you (or your child) thrive.
